Configuration work included SAP Sales and Distribution billing and Accounts Receivable capabilities, revenue account determination, billing copy control, account summarization and output determination. The project covered standard Order to Cash configuration such as sales order configuration, pricing, delivery processing, warehouse management interfaces, contracts, billing and credit management, with explicit attention to revenue recognition and lockbox processing. Emphasis was placed on SD/FI interface configuration to ensure financial postings from SD flows reconciled with Financial Accounting.
Integrations and technical handoffs referenced in the program included explicit SD/FI interface implementations and use of IDoc messaging patterns for B2B billing scenarios as relevant. The program included Global Trade Services practices, specifically US AES filing using GTS and configuration of the GTS Customs Declaration document and associated forms, to align customs compliance with invoicing and shipping workflows.
