| SAP | Legacy | SAP S/4HANA Cloud | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2024 | 2024 |
In 2024 Aquatherm implemented SAP S/4HANA Cloud as part of an ERP Financial initiative to unify transactional finance and support tighter integration with manufacturing execution workflows. The deployment is framed as a cloud centric S/4HANA Cloud implementation that establishes a single source of truth for financial and production master data while enabling further manufacturing automation.
The implementation tied SAP S/4HANA Cloud to SAP Digital Manufacturing for shop floor execution, using SAP Digital Manufacturing to collect machine data, automate data exchange, surface machine level KPIs, and provide traceability across production processes. SAP Digital Manufacturing functions as the MES layer, providing real time insights and enabling comparison of performance across machines, workers, and production areas, with plans to leverage SAP Analytics Cloud and a production connector to extend analytics and data exchange.
Integration work included a two way data flow between SAP S/4HANA Cloud and SAP Digital Manufacturing, and a standardized machine template created with SAP and BA Business Advice GmbH to normalize data from heterogeneous machine manufacturers. Operational scope began with one production area live and covered nine manufacturing divisions and six production lines as the rollout scope, the project used a three month proof of concept followed by a six month go live period and applied a fit to standard approach to avoid custom development.
Governance and process changes focused on reducing manual input on the shop floor and centralizing operational visibility for production and stakeholder decision making, while freeing machine operators from PC based tasks. Explicit outcomes reported include a unified overview of manufacturing operations, a 90% reduction in time spent on PC based tasks through automated data exchange, improved data quality, and foundations laid for expanded analytics and AI use as the company plans to roll the solution out across remaining production areas.

| Epicor | Legacy | Epicor Prophet 21 | Distribution ERP | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2012 | 2012 |
In 2012 Aquatherm implemented Epicor Prophet 21 to centralize distribution operations using a Distribution ERP designed for multi-site inventory and purchasing control. The deployment targeted North American operations and supported three warehouses across the United States and Canada, placing Epicor Prophet 21 at the center of inventory, forecasting, and purchasing workflows.
Epicor Prophet 21 was used for core modules including demand forecasting, purchasing order management, inventory management, and order fulfillment orchestration. The implementation supported forecast-driven purchasing and ongoing inventory optimization processes, and operational staff paired Prophet 21 data with extensive Excel-based reporting to manage replenishment and vendor purchasing decisions.
Operational governance centered on the operations management function, which ran forecasting, purchasing, and inventory control in Prophet 21 across the three warehouses. The combined use of Epicor Prophet 21 and spreadsheet reporting enabled Aquatherm to handle millions in sales while reducing overall inventory levels and increasing order fulfillment rates, with the system operating across distribution, procurement, and warehouse functions in North America.
