In 2017 Asia Commercial Bank implemented Tableau to establish a visualization and reporting layer for Analytics and BI. The deployment focused on customer and campaign analytics, supporting workstreams that covered a customer portfolio of more than 5 million accounts and coordinated growth targets across 372 branch locations.
Tableau was used to build interactive dashboards and operational reports, with at least three Tableau dashboards created to monitor campaign performance, new customer acquisition, and KPI trends. Functional capabilities implemented included customer segmentation visualizations, campaign performance monitoring, portfolio analysis, and executive KPI reporting, all delivered through Tableau dashboards and standard BI visualization workflows.
The implementation integrated Tableau with the bank’s Customer Relationship Management System to operationalize target lists and campaign tracking, and it consumed analytic outputs from R and Python models that produced branch-level loan and deposit forecasts and growth trend analyses. Operational coverage included cross-functional teams in Data Analysis, Finance, and Branch network management, with monthly business result reviews for approximately 60 branches and broader target setting across the full branch network.
Governance and process change centered on embedding Tableau-driven reporting into branch planning and campaign governance, enabling regular reporting cycles and collaborative target setting between analytics, finance, and branch managers. The Tableau implementation supported measurable operational changes recorded in internal notes, including increased sales productivity and dashboards used to track increases in new customers and campaign KPIs.
