In 2016, Atlas Bank implemented Temenos T24 for Core Banking. The deployment focused on centralizing retail and commercial banking operations and payments processing while supporting branch-level operations including the administrative setup of a new branch in Costa del Este and a staffed contingency office.
Temenos T24 was configured for product parameterization and core transaction workflows, covering customer and account opening, loan origination, time deposit processing, inter account transfers, ACH processing, international transfers, SWIFT messaging, teller deposits and withdrawals, and check handling. The implementation emphasized configuration of banking products in Temenos T24 and operational ownership by a core banking expert responsible for transaction workflows and product catalog rules.
The Temenos T24 environment was integrated with external clearing and messaging networks, explicitly including SWIFT for international payments and Telered for check compensation. The bank also progressed online banking development with channels designed to interface with Temenos T24 processing, enabling customer inquiry, payments routing and account servicing from digital channels.
Governance and operational controls were formalized through development of operational manuals for products and general banking functions within Temenos T24, and a bank security manual addressing evacuation routes, emergency maps, signage, fire safety equipment and first aid training certification. Administrative governance tasks included contingency office administration, branch supplier and accounts payable oversight, cash and vault balancing, custody of keys via telkey, and administration of access control systems, alarms and security cameras, plus coordination of electrical, technology, moving and architectural activities for new branch setup.
Operational responsibilities linked to the Core Banking implementation also covered portfolio handling, currency purchase activities, commercial and investment banking product support, and day to day reconciliation and compensation workflows via Telered, reflecting a broad operational footprint managed through Temenos T24.
