In 2007 Avant Homes implemented COINS ERP as its Construction ERP platform to unify operations across seven regional offices and a central head office after rapid growth through acquisition left the business operating with multiple disparate IT systems. Phase One of the COINS ERP implementation covered Finance, Commercials including Procurement and VAP, House Sales and Payroll, with Phase Two underway and Phase Three scoping the HR module. COINS designed, tested, fine-tuned and deployed the COINS ERP software on Avant Homes’ network, and the project workstreams included configuration of core financials, commercial controls and sales-to-cash workflows aligned to housebuilding operations.
Operational coverage extended across the whole business, consolidating functions that had been handled across many systems into a single Construction ERP platform to improve visibility and accountability. Avant Homes is piloting COINS mGRN, a mobile goods received note solution available on iOS, Windows 8 and Android, which connects directly to the COINS Procurement module to support mobile procurement and site receiving processes.
Governance and process change focused on driving standardized business processes and centralized reporting under Group IT leadership, with explicit goals of faster decision making and improved forecasting.
