| Frontier Software | Legacy | Frontier Software iChris | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, Bank Australia Australia implemented Frontier Software iChris, a Core HR application. The implementation was positioned inside the People & Culture Operations function, supporting recruitment, HR systems, reporting and analytics, and general HR advisory services across the bank.
During the Apr 2020 to Dec 2020 contract of the Interim Head of People & Culture, that lead served as Project Manager for the Frontier Software iChris rollout and configuration, specifically overseeing payroll, Manager Self Service, Employee Self Service, Intelligent Workflows, and Reporting and Analytics modules. The configuration work focused on standard Core HR capabilities, including centralized employee records, self-service access for managers and staff, workflow automation for approvals, and operational reporting.
Operational coverage emphasized the People & Culture team as the primary user community, with the project team supporting organizational HR processes such as annual performance reviews and the employee engagement survey. The initiative also produced governance artifacts and executive briefing papers, and the project lead reviewed and updated HR policies and procedures to align process controls with the Frontier Software iChris configuration.
Governance and rollout were coordinated with senior leadership through the Way Ahead Group and the Chief Management Team, with the project manager authoring materials for Senior Executive and Board review. Reporting and analytics modules were instrumented to feed HR reporting needs and to support annual report content preparation, while operationalizing Manager Self Service and Employee Self Service to shift routine transactions into the Core HR application.

| Data Action | Legacy | Data Action Core Banking | Core Banking | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2017 | 2018 |
In 2017, Bank Australia Australia implemented Data Action Core Banking. Data Action Core Banking was established as the bank's central Core Banking platform and the foundation for retail deposits, transactional processing and back office account servicing.
The implementation aligned with typical Core Banking functional modules such as account management, transaction posting and clearing, product configuration, customer and deposit servicing, payments orchestration and general ledger integration. Configuration and parameterization work focused on supporting retail account lifecycle, posting rules and settlement flows, consistent with core banking operational workflows.
Operationally the Data Action Core Banking environment remained in place as Bank Australia began a separate loan origination replacement effort. The bank is replacing its end of life loan origination system with Cloudcase Software Solutions running on AWS, the loan origination platform is used by over 200 staff and is described as critical to operations, and Data Action committed to playing an integrator role for the transition. Concurrent upgrades in the broader enterprise program include a Microsoft Dynamics CRM rollout, marketing automation and expanded data analytics and reporting, indicating planned integration points between the core banking platform, CRM and analytics stacks.
The loan origination replacement was slated for completion by 2024 and is part of an enterprise-wide digitisation and transformation program running through to 2025, which centrally coordinates backend upgrades and process redesign. Bank Australia expects the new loan origination platform to add automation, accelerate approval times and reduce administrative tasks so staff can focus more on customer service.
