In 2019, Baylor University implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as part of a broader adoption of Oracle Cloud Applications to modernize administrative operations. Baylor University implemented Oracle Cloud ERP in 2019 to centralize ERP Financial capabilities and to replace its on premise Oracle PeopleSoft ERP installation while aligning finance, planning and human resources on a single cloud platform.
The implementation deployed core ERP Financial functionality including general ledger consolidation, accounts payable, procurement controls, financial close orchestration and integrated financial reporting, along with complementary Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud for planning and Oracle Human Capital Management Cloud for workforce processes. Oracle Cloud ERP was configured to provide a common and intuitive user interface intended to accelerate user adoption and to enable real time access to transactional and planning data across the institution.
Operational coverage included campus administrative finance teams, central planning groups and HR departments supporting more than 16,000 students and campus staff, with scope focused on standardizing processes and breaking down organizational silos. The deployment emphasized an integrated data model between Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle EPM Cloud and Oracle HCM Cloud to unify finance, planning and workforce data and to provide consistent master data for reporting and decision making.
Governance changes centered on centralized process standardization and single platform stewardship, shifting manual and fragmented workflows into cloud based, governed processes to improve consistency across departments. The program prioritized configuration to support higher education financial controls and planning workflows, while leveraging the Oracle Cloud Applications suite to drive process simplification and faster access to institutional financial information.
Outcomes called out in the implementation narrative include improved productivity, enhanced employee experience, and better business insight through real time data access, supporting Baylor University’s strategic goal to advance its research and academic mission under the Illuminate plan. The Oracle Cloud ERP deployment is positioned as the foundational ERP Financial system to help the university respond more rapidly to changing dynamics in higher education.

In 2014, Baylor University implemented HireRight Employment Background Checks, a BackGround Screening application, to process and maintain background checks across campus. The deployment centralized screening intake for faculty, staff, and select contractors and aligned screening case workflows with university HR hiring processes.
The HireRight Employment Background Checks implementation leveraged standard BackGround Screening functional modules including identity verification, criminal record checks, education and employment verification, and screening record management. Baylor University used HireRight Employment Background Checks to manage case processing, adjudication workflows, and retention of screening records within a centralized HR screening program.
Processes for import, export, global logistics and trade agreement management were handled through Amber Road, creating a separate operational stream for external shipment and compliance activities. The HireRight Employment Background Checks deployment operated alongside Amber Road processes to support onboarding, compliance record exports, and institutional audit needs, with controlled data exchange between screening and external logistics workflows.
Governance was centralized in HR with standardized screening policies, role based access controls for screening results, and documented adjudication procedures to enforce consistent decision making. The record ties Baylor University, HireRight Employment Background Checks, BackGround Screening and HR hiring and compliance functions into a single implementation narrative.

| EAB | Legacy | EAB Enrollment | Admissions and Enrollment Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2023 | 2023 |
In 2023, Baylor University deployed EAB Enrollment as its Admissions and Enrollment Management solution, embedding the application directly into the university website to support web-facing prospect capture and application intake. The deployment targeted institutional enrollment functions and centralized the web enrollment funnel under the Office of Admissions and Enrollment Management for coordinated online intake workflows. Baylor University EAB Enrollment is being used to present application forms, manage prospective student interactions, and maintain a web-native admissions front end.
EAB Enrollment was configured to support standard Admissions and Enrollment Management modules including online application intake, prospect and inquiry capture, communication automation, event and appointment scheduling, and operational reporting dashboards. Configuration emphasized web form mapping, field validation, and orchestration of communication workflows consistent with admissions funnel management. The narrative restates EAB Enrollment to reflect its role as the primary web-based enrollment management touchpoint.
Operational integration was focused on the university website, where EAB Enrollment handles form submission workflows and prospect engagement flows, preserving the web experience for applicants. The implementation covers core admissions business functions and is operated by admissions and enrollment staff rather than by academic or administrative departments. Integrations are limited to the web delivery layer as documented, with online capture and processing routed through the embedded EAB Enrollment interfaces.
Governance and process changes centered on centralized ownership of web intake processes, adjustments to admissions workflow handoffs, and operational training for admissions staff to manage the EAB Enrollment interface. Rollout emphasized policy alignment for data capture and standardized communication templates to ensure consistent prospect engagement across touchpoints. Ongoing operational governance is managed within the enrollment organization to maintain form configurations and communication cadence.
