Custom reports and user-configurable options were implemented to allow task by task personalization rather than a one size fits all maintenance model. The rollout included integration with pre-existing finance software to streamline transactional handoffs and record keeping between maintenance and financial systems. Operational coverage targeted Bega Cheese processing and packaging units and focused on consolidating copious asset paperwork into a single digital library to eliminate double handling and reduce risk of lost documentation. Governance changes centered on paperless workflows and work permit digitalization, with new processes to ensure that permits and associated work order data are produced, stored and reportable within MEX Maintenance. Reported benefits from the case study include a dramatic decrease in paper usage, reduced administration hours through digital work permits and a consolidated asset information store that supports maintenance decision making.
