| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2015 | 2016 |
In 2015, Belden implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as an ERP Financial application. The deployment concentrated on SAP ECC 6.0 EHP7 on NetWeaver 7.4 and established a managed SAP Basis environment to support finance and HR operations across Belden's corporate SAP service delivery landscape.
Implementation activities included installation, upgradation and OS DB migrations, application configuration and administration of the SAP ERP ECC 6.0 EHP7 NetWeaver 7.4 HCM landscape. Basis operations covered monthly support pack planning and execution, patching and add on deployment using SPAM and SAINT, SAP Notes application, single sign on configuration, language installs and JAVA split from dual stack using SWPM. The project also addressed ESS and MSS portal upgrades from NW 7.0 to NW 7.4 and delivered Fiori for SAP HCM ESS including SAP Web Dispatcher.
Integration work encompassed SuccessFactors integration between PI and HCM systems and routine environment management such as quarterly database refreshes from production to QA and homogeneous system copy based server migrations for HCM. Operational readiness was maintained through consolidated hardware planning and application migration during a data center move, along with planned disaster recovery exercises. SAP Solution Manager administration and SAP Host Agent installs and upgrades were part of ongoing operations.
Run book and governance tasks included documenting build and cut over procedures, coordinating monthly maintenance windows and executing multiple approved changes within outage windows. Change orchestration, job scheduling and parameter tuning were institutionalized as part of the SAP Basis support model.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Compensation | Compensation Management | HCM | n/a | 2016 | 2017 |
In 2016 Belden began implementing SAP SuccessFactors Compensation as part of its Compensation Management initiative, extending an existing SuccessFactors deployment that included Performance and Goals. The implementation centers on formalizing merit and lump sum processes and introducing Variable Pay modules for Bonus and LTIs, aligning compensation administration with performance outcomes.
The SAP SuccessFactors Compensation deployment includes configuration of merit and lump sum workflows and Variable Pay plan structures, using Final Ratings from the Performance and Goals module as the primary input for award calculations and eligibility. Typical Compensation Management capabilities such as plan templates, eligibility rules, and approval workflows were configured to translate final performance ratings into calibrated compensation actions.
Operational integration is contained within the SuccessFactors suite, with the Final Ratings feed from Performance and Goals driving compensation actions in SAP SuccessFactors Compensation and Variable Pay. This creates a single-threaded talent to pay flow where performance ratings serve as the authoritative signal for merit increases, lump sums, and bonus and LTIs administration.
Governance and process changes focused on HR and total rewards workflows, implementing manager approval chains and compensation review cycles that leverage the Final Ratings output. The rollout tied compensation governance to performance outcomes, centralizing compensation decision logic inside SAP SuccessFactors Compensation and the Compensation Management framework.

| Salesforce | Legacy | Salesforce Chat (formerly Salesforce Live Agent) | Chatbots and Conversational AI | AI-Powered Application | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020, Belden deployed Salesforce Chat (formerly Salesforce Live Agent) as its web-facing conversational touchpoint. The implementation is categorized under Chatbots and Conversational AI and is provisioned on Belden’s public website to support real-time customer engagement and inquiry intake.
Salesforce Chat was configured to provide core conversational capabilities common to the category, including real-time web chat sessions, pre chat capture, automated greetings, agent handoff, and transcript capture for case creation. Configuration emphasis was placed on routing logic and queue management, using skill or intent based routing to surface conversations to designated agent groups and to support handoffs between automated and human interactions.
The chat deployment is integrated into the Salesforce platform to ensure chat transcripts and session metadata are associated with CRM records and support record creation workflows. Operational coverage centers on customer support and web inquiry handling, with agents accessing chat sessions through Salesforce interface components and managing conversations alongside CRM case and contact data.
Governance was implemented through Salesforce administrative controls, including agent profiles, routing rules, session timeouts, and transcript retention settings, to align chat workflows with existing support processes. Rollout and operational ownership were structured around customer service teams, with configuration and monitoring routines embedded in Salesforce admin operations.
