In 2016, Belfius Insurance implemented Keylane Axon Claims for its private line and commercial line products. Keylane Axon Claims is the insurer's designated Insurance Claims Management application, centralizing claims intake and case handling across product lines.

The Keylane Axon Claims instance was provisioned to align claims processing workflows with Belfius Insurance business functions, embedding standard claims lifecycle controls and auditability.
In 2022 Belfius signed an agreement to move the Axon environment to Keylane's private cloud and adopt Keylane's full SaaS hosting model, removing the need for third party hosting management. The hosting transition centralized application infrastructure under Keylane's private cloud operations, converting the deployment into a vendor-managed SaaS arrangement.
Operational coverage centers on Belfius Insurance's claims organization in Belgium, with hosting and operational support consolidated under the Keylane private cloud contract. Governance changes focused on shifting hosting accountability to the vendor and streamlining hosting vendor management, while retaining the Keylane Axon Claims application as the insurer's primary Insurance Claims Management platform.
