| Workday | Intuit QuickBooks Online | Workday Financial Management | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2020 | 2021 |
In 2020, BIMA implemented Workday Financial Management as part of an ERP Financial consolidation to centralise finance and HR reporting across its global businesses. The deployment addressed a fragmented technology footprint that spanned multiple country-specific systems and replaced financial accounting previously managed in Intuit QuickBooks Online, establishing a single cloud-native source for financial data and cross-company forecasting.
The implementation included Workday Financial Management alongside Workday Human Capital Management, using Workday Financial Management to standardise ledgers, month-end and quarter-end close workflows, and budget cycle processes. BIMA configured out-of-the-box Workday workflows for HR and finance to reduce local variance, and leveraged the application model to create a consistent data model for people costs, vacancies, and organisational structure.
Integration between finance and HR reporting was a central design objective, enabling unified reporting and a trusted single source of truth for cross-country decision-making. The project consolidated IT stacks into a minimal technology footprint, reduced the need for point-to-point interfaces between separate finance and HR applications, and prepared the company to support remote and collaborative working across its operations in 12 countries.
Governance was tightened by adopting standard Workday process flows as the default operating model, with deviations permitted only for legal or regulatory reasons. This governance approach, directed from central finance and IT leadership, simplified change control, improved privacy and security handling of employee and financial data, and created clearer escalation and approval workflows for global managers.
Outcomes reported in the rollout include standardised finance and HR data, faster and more reliable month-end and budget cycles, and a reduction in routine consolidation work that allowed finance teams to focus on analysis. BIMA positioned Workday Financial Management as the transactional and reporting foundation to support controlled growth and strategic planning over the next 10 to 20 years.

In 2020, BIMA deployed Amazon EC2 to host public-facing components of its website. Amazon EC2 serves as the company’s Application Hosting and Computing Services platform, providing compute provisioning and instance lifecycle control for web application workloads.
The implementation centers on provisioning Amazon EC2 instances to run the web and application tiers of the site, using AMIs and instance sizing to align capacity with traffic patterns. Network segmentation and security group based access controls are applied to isolate compute workloads and control inbound traffic to the hosted site.
Operational responsibilities are organized around BIMA’s web operations and infrastructure teams, which manage instance configuration, patching, and backup workflows for the EC2 hosted environments.
