| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central | Core HR | HCM | Flexso | 2022 | 2022 | In 2022, Biobest implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as its Core HR platform to centralize HR master data and establish an end to end HR environment. The initiative was positioned as the foundation for consolidating HR processes from recruitment through retirement and to support a multi-entity, multi-site operational footprint spanning 28 facilities globally. SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central was deployed first to centralize basic employee records and serve as the authoritative Core HR system, with a phased plan to add adjacent SuccessFactors capabilities. Biobest and implementation partner Flexso prioritized modules and delivered Performance management first at the Belgium headquarters, then rolled it out to the Netherlands, China, Kenya, Spain, and Morocco, while Compensation, Succession and Development, and Employee Engagement with Qualtrics are scheduled for subsequent waves. The technical architecture emphasized integration with Biobest’s SAP S/4HANA Cloud ERP, using SAP Cloud Platform Integration CPI to synchronize personnel master data and support cross functional processes. This integration aligns Employee Central with the SAP S/4HANA backbone and preserves a single source of truth for HR and core transactional data, enabling later extensions into CRM and custom tools using SAP Build. Governance was structured around a step by step, country by country rollout and prioritized process scopes, with joint governance between Biobest key users, executives, and Flexso consultants. Project management emphasized aligning priorities before configuration, staging entity go lives to match local readiness, and building a reusable configuration baseline to accelerate adding new legal entities and sites. As reported by Biobest, outcomes to date include a clear overview of basic employee data and improved executive access to accurate HR information for strategic decision making, together with a repeatable onboarding path for additional entities. The implementation remains focused on expanding SuccessFactors modules within the established Core HR architecture while keeping integration to SAP S/4HANA central to future rollouts. |
