In 2016, BKW Energie implemented Serrala FinanceSuite as an AP Automation solution to handle accounts payable and incoming invoice processing across its Swiss and German operating companies. The Serrala FinanceSuite deployment was undertaken alongside SAP S / 4 HANA implementations focused on FI and cash management, establishing a payments and invoice processing layer integrated with core financials.
The implementation configured Serrala modules for incoming invoice processing, Autobank connectivity, and Payment Management, with functional coverage for intercompany billing and cash management workflows. Data migrations into SAP S / 4 HANA were completed to support end to end invoice and payment processing, and Serrala FinanceSuite was used to operationalize payment orchestration and bank communication.
Integrations included explicit interfaces between the AP Automation layer and SAP modules MM, SD, HR, and RE-FX, enabling invoice flows from procurement and sales modules into accounts payable and financial posting. The program extended beyond Switzerland and Germany with a SAP S / 4 HANA roll out to companies in France and Italy, and Serrala components were supported across these operational footprints.
Governance and application lifecycle activities included release upgrades to SAP S / 4 HANA 1709 and 1809 and ongoing implementation and support of Autobank and Payment Management from Serrala. Payment transactions were converted to the ISO20022 format and the Camt54 reporting format was introduced as part of the payment standardization efforts, aligning AP Automation processing and bank reconciliation formats.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Compensation | Compensation Management | HCM | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, BKW Energie implemented SAP SuccessFactors Compensation as a core element of its Compensation Management initiative. The deployment was positioned inside the enterprise HR and talent technology footprint for the Swiss utility and targeted compensation planning and talent-related pay processes.
The rollout ran in parallel with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and a suite of SuccessFactors talent modules, specifically Compensation, Learning, Performance & Goals, Recruiting, and Succession & Development. SAP SuccessFactors Compensation was configured to support compensation planning workflows, variable pay and merit cycles, and to align pay decision data with performance and goal records maintained in Performance & Goals.
Operational ownership included a Product Owner and a Teilprojektleitung for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, with dedicated Application Manager and Support responsibilities for the SuccessFactors talent modules. The SuccessFactors implementation was operated as a cloud HRIS instance and was connected operationally to the ServiceNow HR Service Delivery module to coordinate HR case management and service workflows.
Governance was organized around the Product Owner and Application Managers who managed configuration changes, support operations and ongoing module stewardship for Compensation Management and adjacent talent modules. The program emphasized centralized HR application management, cross-module configuration controls, and a ServiceNow-driven support model for HR service delivery.
