The rollout built on AP process work performed at Achievers, where NetSuite and an internal CORE system had been used to manage invoice entry through payments and intercompany transactions. SAP Concur Invoice was configured to provide invoice capture, approval workflows, supplier invoicing and automated routing consistent with AP Automation practices, while Concur Travel & Expense was provisioned to more than 250 employees in Canada and the United States. Concur AP Automation onboarding covered over 30 vendors and suppliers to standardize invoice submission and processing. Configuration emphasis focused on invoice-to-payment orchestration and expense reporting controls. Operational integration maintained continuity with NetSuite and CORE to preserve invoice-to-ledger posting and to support ACH, wire and cheque payment creation processes that remained part of Blackhawk Network payment operations. The implementation addressed multi-currency reconciliation requirements in CAD, USD and GBP across bank, credit card and prepaid accounts. These integrations supported accounts payable coordinators and accounting support teams in managing month-end close activities and intercompany transactions. Governance changes included a new Travel & Expense Policy deployed alongside Concur Travel & Expense and the introduction of AP internal controls to align processes with GAAP principles. Staff responsibilities expanded to include GL reconciliations, departmental coding of expenses and the compilation of quarterly client payment statistics for MD&A and Board reporting. The Concur implementations were explicitly used to improve AP process structures and to assist audit readiness for external Deloitte audits during the 2012 to 2015 period.

The program documentation and training materials were used to standardize recruiting and onboarding workflows, and to establish governance for ongoing configuration and future module updates.
