The reporting environment coexisted with Crystal Reports 2008 for complementary reporting needs, and operational support relied on Active Directory for account administration and Exchange Server for report distribution. Primary operational coverage included finance and accounting, with IT help desk ownership for user provisioning and Tier 1 support.
Governance and rollout activities were managed by the Senior IT Analyst, who created IT policies, documented procedures, and rolled out security awareness training via KnowB4. Consultants were engaged to address configuration issues with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains 2013, and processes were established for backup and restore of reporting databases between production and development environments using SQL Server Management Studio.
