In 2017 Brighthouse Financial implemented SAP S/4 HANA as a greenfield ERP Financial program. The engagement ran from March 2017 to November 2018 and was delivered with Ernst & Young as the system integrator for the program.
The implementation was built on SAP S/4 Financials 1610 and focused on core finance modules including Accounts Payable, General Ledger, FSCD and SAP BPC for planning and consolidation. The solution included FIORI application development and custom code work, coupled with environment and system builds provisioned on a SAP HEC cloud hosted environment, aligning technical architecture to finance process automation and reporting.
System and overall integration work was coordinated across technology streams within Brighthouse Financial, concentrating on end to end financial workflows, batch and real time interfaces, and environment cutover sequencing. Operational coverage centered on the corporate finance organization, with configuration to support accounting, collections and financial planning functions consistent with an ERP Financial deployment.
Governance and deployment were led by a Senior SAP Cutover Manager and Technology Lead from the Ernst & Young team, accountable for cutover and deployment orchestration, environment provisioning, cutover sequencing, and cross‑stream integration coordination. The arrangement emphasized formal cutover planning, system build governance, and coordinated rollout activities across technology and finance teams.
