In 2020, the California Department of Public Health implemented Juvare CORES RMS. The California Health Corps site healthcorps.ca.gov used Juvare CORES RMS to register, credential and deploy more than 25,000 volunteers for the state COVID-19 response, positioning the deployment within the Emergency Management category and focusing on public health volunteer management across California and the Western United States.
The implementation centered on registration, credentialing, onboarding and mission deployment capabilities in Juvare CORES RMS, aligning HR like credential verification workflows with mission rostering and reporting functions common to Emergency Management platforms. Configuration emphasized rapid volunteer onboarding, verification of clinical credentials and assignment to surge healthcare staffing missions, with system workflows instrumented for repeated emergency activations.
Operational coverage was statewide with mission activity extending into the Western US during the COVID-19 response, and the deployment served public health staffing and volunteer management business functions. The platform supported end to end volunteer lifecycle processes from initial registration through credential validation to mission assignment and reporting for emergency missions.
Governance and process changes focused on standardizing credential checks and onboarding procedures to enable rapid activation of volunteers during 2020 emergency missions, while reporting capabilities were used to support operational visibility for deployments. The implementation explicitly enabled registration, credential and deployment of more than 25,000 volunteers for the California COVID-19 response, demonstrating the application of Juvare CORES RMS to large scale public health surge staffing within the Emergency Management context.
