In 2017 Camgrain implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as its ERP Financial platform, migrating from Microsoft Dynamics NAV with Columbus engaged as the implementation partner. The deployment consolidated three previously separate database systems into a bespoke instance of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, centralizing transactional finance and operational data for the business.
Configuration focused on core financial management and inventory and reporting workflows consistent with an ERP Financial deployment, with a bespoke Business Central schema adapted to Camgrain Stores operational needs. The implementation supported centralized ledger processes and inventory tracking across store operations, and was configured to feed live reporting and management dashboards.
Post-deployment integration work emphasized the Microsoft Office 365 suite, with a Business Intelligence Analyst at Camgrain Stores Ltd Balsham from March 2019 to November 2021 developing live dashboards to support business and management decisions. The analytics work consumed consolidated Business Central data and Office 365 services to expand reporting, orchestration, and decision support capabilities.
Governance and rollout included an explicit move to a single, centrally managed Business Central instance and the introduction of a dedicated BI role to operationalize data governance and dashboard delivery. Camgrain documented a plan to further leverage the Office 365 suite to expand business capabilities following the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation.

In 2017, Camgrain deployed Capita Workforce Management. The Capita Workforce Management implementation was chosen to address shortcomings of an existing fob-based clocking-in environment that generated frequent lost or forgotten fobs and required terminals to retain records that were later downloaded by USB, which prevented real-time visibility. Camgrain is a United Kingdom consumer packaged goods company with approximately 350 employees, and the deployment aimed to deliver accurate, real-time capture of employee working hours to support operational scheduling and payroll intake. The project is categorized as Workforce Management and focused on replacing manual data transfer workflows with system-side time capture.
The implementation configured time and attendance capture and centralized timekeeping within the Workforce Management application, moving terminal-local storage to an aggregated data store accessible to HR and operations. Standard Workforce Management capabilities were implemented, including electronic clocking capture, roster and shift recording, and structured timecard reporting to feed payroll processes. Configuration work emphasized real-time event capture and validation to reduce manual reconciliation and to ensure timely availability of clocking data.
Rollout momentum originated from a recommendation to the Camgrain IT Manager at a local networking event, and governance was aligned to change timekeeping procedures across frontline operations and HR payroll teams. Operational process changes removed USB-based download steps and centralized record processing within Capita Workforce Management, shifting responsibility for time data aggregation to the application. The narrative centers on Capita Workforce Management as the Workforce Management solution addressing clocking accuracy and visibility challenges at Camgrain.

In 2021, Camgrain deployed Ecwid on its website to provide a public-facing online storefront. Camgrain implemented Ecwid as its primary eCommerce application to present products, capture orders through web checkout, and manage customer-facing pricing and shipping options.
The Ecwid implementation concentrates on standard eCommerce functional modules, including product catalog and SKU management, shopping cart and checkout flows, storefront theming and content presentation, and order capture for downstream fulfillment. Ecwid is used as the site-level commerce engine, consolidating product display and transactional workflows within the public web channel.
Operational ownership sits with the web and e-commerce teams, with processes oriented around product onboarding, catalog updates, pricing configuration, and order processing coordination with operations. Governance emphasizes site content control and catalog versioning, aligning marketing and operations for promotions and availability updates.
Technical scope is limited to the company website as the commerce touchpoint and centers on web storefront operations, catalog lifecycle, and order management workflows. The implementation reflects a category-aligned deployment of Ecwid within Camgrain for eCommerce business functions.
