In 2018, Camso implemented Epicor ERP to centralize and standardize its corporate finance and accounting operations, aligning the deployment with its ERP Financial needs. The Epicor ERP implementation targeted the manufacturing organization’s finance function and established a single financial application footprint for accounting workflows.
Configuration work focused on core financial modules common to ERP Financial deployments, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash management, and financial reporting and compliance controls. The project emphasized chart of accounts harmonization, period close orchestration, and role based security to support statutory reporting and auditability.
Operational coverage centered on corporate finance, accounting, procurement interface points and treasury related workflows supporting Camso’s manufacturing operations in Canada. The implementation integrated process flows between transactional finance activity and operational cost capture, using Epicor ERP as the authoritative system for financial transaction recording.
Governance introduced standardized accounting policies, documented month end close procedures, and configuration-driven controls within Epicor ERP to enforce segregation of duties and approval workflows. Training and change activities were organized for finance teams to adopt the new ERP Financial processes and to sustain consistent financial controls.
