| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle PeopleSoft Payables | AP Automation | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2012 | 2012 |
In 2012, CDW Corporation implemented Oracle PeopleSoft Payables as part of its AP Automation initiative to centralize accounts payable invoice resolution and vendor payment processing. The deployment supported an AP Resolution function that managed a portfolio of more than 40 clients including five major accounts and handled approximately 5,000 invoices per month, establishing Oracle PeopleSoft Payables as the operational system of record for vendor invoice lifecycle activities.
Oracle PeopleSoft Payables was configured to support core payables workflows including invoice processing, vendor statement reconciliation, credit and unapplied cash handling, GRN and VRMA tracking, negative vendor reporting, and the processing of adjustments and paybacks through the PeopleSoft system. Reporting and transaction analysis outputs such as monthly GRN, VRMA, Credit, Unapplied Cash and Negative Vendor Reports were produced alongside pivot table based analyses to support month end reconciliation and management review.
Operational integration was focused on cross functional coordination rather than named external systems, with the AP team acting as the central liaison between warehouse, Purchasing, Sales, Treasury, Credit, Vendor Returns, Operational Accounting, Commissions, AP Processing and Tax departments. The implementation supported structured vendor engagement processes, including vendor meetings and dispute resolution workflows to resolve pricing and invoice discrepancies in collaboration with procurement and sales stakeholders.
Governance and process orchestration emphasized routine reconciliation cycles and management reporting, with staff responsible for collecting, reconciling and analyzing vendor monthly open invoice statements and balancing accounts within Oracle PeopleSoft Payables. CDW personnel led meetings and maintained monthly process artifacts to align internal procedures across departments and to operationalize AP Automation workflows within Oracle PeopleSoft Payables.

| Workday | Legacy | Workday Absence Management | Absence and Leave Management | HCM | n/a | 2023 | 2024 |
In 2023, CDW Corporation implemented Workday Absence Management within its Absence and Leave Management portfolio as part of a global, big bang Workday deployment. The initiative was executed alongside Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent Management, Time Tracking, Canada Payroll, US Payroll, UK Payroll, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, and Learning to create a unified HCM suite.
Workday Absence Management was configured to support standard absence and leave constructs such as leave types, eligibility rules, accrual frameworks, and manager and employee self-service workflows. Implementation emphasis included embedding position management and manager self-service to reduce manual HR processing and to shift transactional activity to line managers and employees.
The absence module was integrated natively within the Workday tenant, interoperating with Core HCM and Time Tracking for headcount and attendance alignment, and with country payroll configurations for Canada, the US, and the UK to ensure payroll-relevant absence data flows. Operational coverage spanned global HR centers of excellence and local HR partners in India, Canada, the UK, and the United States, creating a single source of absence data across regions.
Governance and rollout were led by the Sr. HR Transformation and Change Leader who developed the end-to-end change management strategy, coordinating global HR COEs and local teams. The program instituted a tiered support model and process redesign to enable adoption, standardize absence policies in system configuration, and shift organizational practices away from manual interventions.
