Finastra Legacy Finastra Fusion Phoenix Core Banking ERP Services and Operations n/a 2020 2020
In 2020 Central State Bank went live on Finastra Fusion Phoenix, a Core Banking application, as part of an upgrade across its Iowa City-Cedar Rapids Corridor and Northeast Iowa operations. The go live was positioned to support both retail and commercial banking functions and to provide a single integrated core for the institution. The implementation of Finastra Fusion Phoenix centralized critical modules including the general ledger and contact history to provide a holistic view into customer data. The bank linked Fusion Phoenix with other Finastra solutions named in the project, specifically Fusion CreditQuest, Fusion LaserPro, and Fusion Digital Banking, to consolidate lending workflows, loan documentation, and digital channel data on a single database. Architecturally Fusion Phoenix was deployed with a Microsoft technology stack and hosted in the Azure cloud, leveraging the application programming interface architecture to enable future integrations and to accelerate feature adoption. The open core and API orientation were cited as strategic enablers for expanding commercial offerings such as cash management, business banking, and commercial lending while reducing the need for complex data transfers between systems. Governance for the rollout used Finastra s Remote Engagement Model to execute the go live during the COVID 19 pandemic, with vendor statements noting a rapid, non disruptive transition. The bank and vendor highlighted expected operational benefits including increased efficiencies from a cohesively designed suite and expanded capability in the commercial sector as explicit outcomes of the Fusion Phoenix deployment.
