In 2011, China Merchants Bank implemented the In-House ATS to manage external candidate intake and recruitment workflows. The In-House ATS is categorized as an Applicant Tracking System and was deployed to power the bank careers website, providing a public-facing application portal for job postings and candidate applications. The implementation leverages standard Applicant Tracking System capabilities including job requisition creation, career site job publishing, applicant capture and profile management, resume parsing and screening queues, interview scheduling workflows, offer generation, and recruiting dashboards for HR users.
The deployment is an in-house web-integrated architecture, hosted and operated within China Merchants Bank application infrastructure and exposed on the corporate recruitment site for candidate self-service. Operational responsibility resides with corporate HR and the internal applications team, enabling role-based access for recruiters and hiring managers and establishing consistent recruiting workflows across corporate talent acquisition. Governance focused on centralized recruitment processes and data control, with the In-House ATS serving as the single source for external applicant interactions through the website.

In 2008 China Merchants Bank New York selected Temenos T24 Model Bank US Platform as its core banking solution. The decision placed Temenos T24 into the operational stack of the overseas subsidiary of China Merchants Bank, establishing a purpose-built Core Banking layer to support deposit taking, account lifecycle management and transaction processing for the New York entity. The selection reflected a move to a packaged, market-aligned core platform tailored to US operational and regulatory contexts.
The Temenos T24 deployment used the Model Bank US Platform architecture to deliver integrated modules for customer records, account management, deposit processing, payments processing and general ledger functionality, supporting branch and back office workflows typical of Core Banking implementations. Operational governance and process ownership were centered in the CMB New York organization, centralizing core transaction processing and embedding standard core banking workflows and controls for the subsidiary. Temenos T24 therefore serves as the primary core banking application for China Merchants Bank New York within the bank group.

In 2018, China Merchants Bank carried out a global trial of a know your customer application built on the R3 Corda Blockchain Platform with Deutsche Bank, targeting cross-border KYC orchestration and shared identity attestations. The pilot positioned the R3 Corda Blockchain Platform as a permissioned, bank-to-bank data exchange layer to support consented KYC record sharing, reducing duplication of onboarding workflows across participating institutions.
The implementation emphasized a KYC application architecture that combined a shared ledger for attestations, privacy-preserving data controls, and contract-driven verification workflows aligned with compliance and onboarding functions. Integration work focused on connecting the participating banks into a permissioned network and aligning KYC business processes and governance, with role-based access and an immutable audit trail to support verification and regulatory oversight.
