| MicroStrategy | Legacy | MicroStrategy ONE Analytics | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2010 | 2018 |
In 2010, ChristianaCare implemented MicroStrategy ONE Analytics as its Analytics and BI solution. MicroStrategy ONE Analytics served as the enterprise analytics layer to deliver reporting and interactive dashboards across the health system.
Development and configuration work leveraged MicroStrategy 9.4 certified developer skills to establish a metadata layer and visualization artifacts, while logical and physical data models were designed in ErStudio using star schema patterns for a corporate data repository. ETL pipelines were built using SQL Server Integration Services and SQL stored procedures to populate fact and dimension structures, and database objects were created across Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server 2005.
The deployment architecture integrated MicroStrategy ONE Analytics with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and Oracle database platforms, positioning the application as the semantic and presentation layer above the corporate repository. Operational coverage focused on corporate analytics for clinical quality measurement, finance, and operations, with centralized ETL and modeling to maintain consistent definitions and KPIs.
Governance practices emphasized a controlled metadata layer, formal data modeling standards, and SSIS based ETL workflows to preserve data lineage and consistency. Implementation ownership was centered on certified MicroStrategy and SQL Server BI practitioners who developed processes and database artifacts to institutionalize BI development across the organization.
