SAP Legacy SAP SuccessFactors Compensation Compensation Management HCM n/a 2019 2019
In 2019, City & Guilds implemented SAP SuccessFactors Compensation as part of a wider HRIS Transformation Programme. The programme carried a project budget of £1.7 million and was established to programme manage delivery of key HRIS related integration projects including ServiceNow, chatbots and SuccessFactors, embedding Compensation Management into the HR technology stack. The implementation included SAP SuccessFactors Compensation together with Employee Central and Succession & Development, with configuration work focused on standard Compensation Management capabilities such as compensation cycles, eligibility and pay component rules, and approval workflows. SAP SuccessFactors Compensation was configured to consume master employee data from Employee Central, aligning compensation data with succession and development records to support pay decisioning and talent planning. Integrations were a central element of the architecture, with migration of the City & Guilds HR services mailbox to ServiceNow and implementation and configuration of the ServiceNow HR module. The programme also integrated a chatbot with ServiceNow and Office 365 to surface HR queries and case creation, and connected the RSM UK payroll portal E-Payslip to the HR ecosystem using Single Sign On to streamline payslip access. Programme governance was delivered through an HRIS Transformation Programme structure that coordinated HR, payroll and IT stakeholders across the United Kingdom. The programme managed configuration, integration and cross‑functional change activities, sequencing ServiceNow, chatbot and SAP SuccessFactors rollout to ensure the Compensation Management application was aligned with HR service workflows and payroll access controls.
