In 2019 City of Lancaster deployed Tyler Munis ERP as the municipality's Government ERP platform, placing the application at the center of financial and administrative operations. The Bureau of Information Technology provides technology support to all City operations, and specifically supports and administers the Tyler Munis ERP installation while also developing and maintaining custom software that links to core processes.
Tyler Munis ERP implementation focused on standard Government ERP capabilities, including financial management and budgeting, procurement and vendor management, payroll and human capital management, and fixed asset and work order tracking, with reporting and administrative configuration managed by IT staff. Configuration and functional ownership sit with the City Bureau of Information Technology, which handles system administration, security and role based access configuration, and ongoing application maintenance.
Operational integration extended beyond municipal boundaries through an explicit Shared Services Agreement, under which Bureau of Information Technology staff work in partnership with Lancaster County Information Technology staff to share IT services and resources. That shared services arrangement, signed by Mayor Gray and the County Commissioners in October 2009, supports joint administration and resource pooling for Tyler Munis ERP and related technology services across departments and agencies.
Governance of the Tyler Munis ERP environment is anchored in City IT administration and cross jurisdictional coordination, with ongoing support to all City departments and employees.
