In 2017, Clean Juice deployed 7shifts Employee Scheduling as its Workforce Scheduling solution coinciding with the opening of its first franchised store. 7shifts Employee Scheduling replaced Fourth HotSchedules for roster management and it was the first scheduling app used by Elijah Selent when he joined Clean Juice as a Juicerista.
The implementation centered on standard Workforce Scheduling capabilities, including core shift scheduling, schedule templates, manager-driven schedule creation, employee mobile schedule access, time off request routing, and in-app communication for shift trades and notifications. 7shifts Employee Scheduling was configured to support store-level publishing workflows and manager approvals, reflecting a configuration focused on retail shift cadence and multiple weekly schedules per location.
Operational coverage extended across franchised retail sites and user roles from frontline Juiceristas through store managers to field operations. Elijah Selent’s progression from scheduled employee to manager and then to Field Business Consultant became part of operational governance, as he now coaches Clean Juice general managers on how to schedule using 7shifts Employee Scheduling and on manager-level scheduling workflows.
Governance and process change emphasized delegation of schedule ownership to general managers, consistent scheduling policies across franchised sites, and role-based training led by the Field Business Consultant to institutionalize scheduling best practices. The deployment signal prioritizes manager adoption and store level scheduling control within Clean Juice’s Workforce Scheduling architecture.
