| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2022 | 2022 |
In 2022 Close Brothers implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to support its Finance function, with the deployment cataloged under the ERP Financial category and SAP ERP ECC 6.0 serving as the primary accounting and consolidation platform. The implementation is governed as a group-wide finance system for central functions, where the Finance Systems Manager acts as the designated business owner and decision authority for financial and organisational structures and hierarchies.
The implementation includes explicit configuration and operational use of ECC FI/CO, BPC, PI, BW and SAP Analysis for Office Specialist capabilities, with BPC handling consolidation groups and hierarchies and ECC FI/CO supporting general ledger and core financial workflows. The Finance Systems Manager role covers functional ownership for finance modules, coordination of user acceptance testing, management of training and learning communities, and ongoing business, process and data analysis to prioritize enhancements.
Integration and operational coverage reflect an enterprise SAP footprint, using SAP PI for interface orchestration and SAP BW for reporting and analytics, while internal technology teams and an outsourced supplier relationship deliver enhancement work and operational support. Project delivery is coordinated with the Project Management Office and Technology teams, and the implementation scope explicitly spans finance teams across the Group rather than a single site or department.
Governance is structured with a weekly Finance Systems Governance meeting, a control framework for user authorisation and segregation of duties, and quarterly enhancement budgeting set and monitored by finance leadership. Supplier management responsibilities include monitoring performance and quality assurance for enhancement delivery, and the Finance Systems Manager provides ongoing subject matter leadership to maintain SAP structural integrity and scalability.

| Temenos | Legacy | Temenos T24 | Core Banking | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, Close Brothers implemented Temenos T24 as its Core Banking platform. The deployment was executed within a large multi workstream transformation program that included CRM, document management, regulatory reporting and analytics, an online customer portal and identity access management, and data migration.
Temenos T24 was configured to deliver core account management, ledger, deposit and lending functionality consistent with Core Banking operations, and was integrated into the bank s digital channel stack via Temenos Connect Internet Banking. The implementation workstreams covered configuration, parameterization and workflow orchestration for retail and commercial banking operations, alongside data migration and data quality processes managed through Informatica Power Center & Data Quality and Informatica MDM.
The technical architecture incorporated service and API layers using IBM Integration Bus, IBM API Connect and IBM DataPower to orchestrate messaging and secure APIs between Temenos T24, Salesforce CRM and the online portal. Reporting and analytics were linked into Business Objects, with SQL and Oracle used for persistence and reporting extracts, enabling regulatory reporting workstreams to consume consolidated feeds.
Governance and delivery followed an end to end architectural assurance model led by a hands on lead architect, coordinating multiple internal and external architects across concurrent workstreams. The program emphasized integrated solution design, data migration governance, and operational handover across CRM, operations, compliance and digital channels, with Temenos T24 at the center of Core Banking modernization.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP BusinessObjects | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015 Close Brothers implemented SAP BusinessObjects as its Analytics and BI platform. The SAP BusinessObjects deployment targeted enterprise reporting and Regulatory Reporting and Analytics inside a broad multi-workstream transformation that included CRM, Core Banking Platform and Document Management, Online Customer Portal and Identity Access Management, and data migration.
The implementation focused on enterprise reporting and ad hoc analysis capabilities typical of Analytics and BI solutions, deploying a governed semantic layer to support report consolidation, scheduled report distribution, and interactive dashboards for business users. SAP BusinessObjects was configured to serve as the primary reporting layer, enabling business-facing reporting workflows and integration with ETL and master data services.
Integrations were explicitly constructed with the bank's existing middleware and data stack, including Informatica PowerCenter and Data Quality for ETL orchestration, Informatica MDM for master data stabilization, and IBM Integration Bus, IBM API Connect and IBM DataPower for the service layer. Downstream and source connectivity included SQL and Oracle databases, Salesforce for CRM data, and Temenos T24 and Temenos Connect Internet Banking for core banking and online channel feeds, with data flows consolidated into the reporting environment that SAP BusinessObjects consumed.
Governance and delivery were led through an enterprise architecture function that provided end to end design and assurance, coordinating multiple internal and external architects across concurrent work streams. Data governance was reinforced through MDM and data quality tooling, and reporting ownership and workflow orchestration were established to align analytics delivery with Regulatory Reporting and Analytics, CRM reporting, and core banking operational reporting.
