Microsoft Legacy Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations ERP Financial ERP n/a 2019 2019
In 2019, ComfortDelGro Australia implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations was adopted as the organization’s ERP Financial platform to centralize corporate finance, procurement controls and shared services accounting functions. The project solution architect was responsible for project delivery, business architecture, and integrations, and drove the technical approach across finance and shared services stakeholders. Deployment concentrated on core ERP Financial capabilities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash and bank management, procurement, budgeting and financial reporting. Configuration work emphasized chart of accounts rationalization, entity level consolidation and role based security for finance, audit and procurement workflows. Automation of invoice processing and period close workflows was configured using built in finance orchestration and reporting modules. Architecturally the implementation used Dynamics 365 APIs and common integration patterns to connect transactional finance to payroll systems, operational systems and downstream reporting environments. The integration design combined near real time API updates for transactional events with scheduled batch interfaces for reconciliations, underpinned by a centralized financial data model to maintain master data integrity. The solution architect led mapping of business events and interface specifications to ensure consistent ledger posting logic across integrated systems. Governance established a centralized business architecture council to control configuration, release management and data governance, with the solution architect acting as technical authority for integration and deployment decisions. Rollout was organized around finance, procurement and shared services groups and included structured testing cycles, cutover planning and post go live stabilization.
