In 2012, Convatec implemented Epicor ERP as its ERP Financial application across Asia Pacific markets. The Epicor ERP deployment focused on core financial modules including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and financial reporting, configured to support multi currency and statutory requirements typical of ERP Financial systems.
Deployment was executed as part of a broader APAC application landscape that included SAP, HR Workday, CRM, SharePoint, WMS and business intelligence applications such as Crystal and Cognos. Epicor ERP was operationally aligned with regional distribution centres and 3PL interfacing, and it interfaced with the National Product Catalogue NETHA and the Quality Management System to ensure consistent product master and validation controls. The implementation operated with the corporate Information Management teams in the US and UK and leveraged the US IBM application management support group for application support and governance.
Project delivery and governance were led by IT managers and business relationship managers representing APAC countries, with responsibility for IM compliance, software validation, TGA audit readiness, disaster recovery and process improvement initiatives including LEAN. The IT lead supported market general managers and leadership teams and served on the Australian New Zealand leadership team to align Epicor ERP configuration to local regulatory and operational requirements.
