In 2021, CQUniversity Australia implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as its Core HR platform, replacing Ascender Preceda. The implementation configured core HR master data and employee records, position management, employee and supervisor self-service, workflow-driven approvals, recruiting workflows, and onboarding checklists. Reporting and analytics capabilities were enabled to provide enhanced operational visibility and to support HR reporting needs within the Core HR domain. EPI-USE applied an enablement-led agile delivery approach to guide configuration, testing, user enablement, and staged rollout. Operational ownership and governance were transitioned to the People and Culture function, with supervisors and employees granted expanded data access and self-service responsibilities to reduce manual interventions. As a result of the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central implementation, CQUniversity empowered supervisors and employees with data, self-service and workflow capabilities, improved autonomy and enhanced reporting capabilities. The program centralized Core HR, recruiting, and onboarding processes under SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central to standardize HR operations across the university.

Operational coverage included campus administrative offices and student services teams across multiple Australian campuses, enabling end to end handling of student requests from submission through to record update. Governance changes focused on formalising workflow ownership and approval chains, shifting processes away from manual filing and email based exchanges into governed digital workflows. The program explicitly automated form handling and reduced manual filing and email based processes, improving administrative efficiency and accessibility for staff and students.
