In 2010, CQUniversity Australia implemented Oracle PeopleSoft ERP. The rollout targeted ERP Financial functions and was operated within the university Financial Services directorate, aligning the application with institutional finance operations and reporting obligations.
The deployment emphasized PeopleSoft Financials security and configuration, addressing business process issues and establishing continuous improvement workflows. Reporting capabilities were implemented using Crystal, Query and n'Vision to satisfy campus reporting requirements, and Oracle PeopleSoft ERP was configured to support those reporting tools. Configuration covered core financial modules such as general ledger and accounts payable to align accounting workflows with university procedures.
Access governance required completion of a user access form and mandatory training before PeopleSoft Financials access could be granted, embedding role based access controls and approval gates into the onboarding process. This access model linked provisioning to training compliance, restricting who could execute transactional activities and run financial reports within Oracle PeopleSoft ERP.
Operational scope focused on transaction processing and financial reporting within the Financial Services directorate, with configuration, security and reporting controls implemented in accordance with ERP Financial category practices. Ongoing continuous improvement workstreams were instituted to resolve configuration and business process issues and to evolve reporting templates and query artifacts.

In 2021, CQUniversity Australia implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as its Core HR platform, replacing Ascender Preceda. The deployment was delivered by EPI-USE and included a packaged scope of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central plus Recruiting and Onboarding modules.
The implementation configured core HR master data and employee records, position management, employee and supervisor self-service, workflow-driven approvals, recruiting workflows, and onboarding checklists. Reporting and analytics capabilities were enabled to provide enhanced operational visibility and to support HR reporting needs within the Core HR domain.
EPI-USE applied an enablement-led agile delivery approach to guide configuration, testing, user enablement, and staged rollout. Operational ownership and governance were transitioned to the People and Culture function, with supervisors and employees granted expanded data access and self-service responsibilities to reduce manual interventions.
As a result of the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central implementation, CQUniversity empowered supervisors and employees with data, self-service and workflow capabilities, improved autonomy and enhanced reporting capabilities. The program centralized Core HR, recruiting, and onboarding processes under SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central to standardize HR operations across the university.

In 2014 CQUniversity Australia implemented TechnologyOne Business Process Management as part of the OneUniversity suite, using Business Process Management to digitise administrative forms and streamline student facing workflows across multiple campuses in Australia. The rollout ran alongside the OneUniversity Student Management module to align administrative intake and student records processes within a single vendor suite.
TechnologyOne Business Process Management was configured to automate form routing and approval workflows, and to centralise electronic document capture and storage for administrative forms. The implementation applied standard Business Process Management capabilities such as configurable workflow definitions, role based approvals, and form orchestration to reduce manual handling and to standardise intake procedures.
The Business Process Management implementation was integrated with the OneUniversity Student Management module to connect student facing service requests and enrolment related forms to records and case handling. Operational coverage included campus administrative offices and student services teams across multiple Australian campuses, enabling end to end handling of student requests from submission through to record update.
Governance changes focused on formalising workflow ownership and approval chains, shifting processes away from manual filing and email based exchanges into governed digital workflows. The program explicitly automated form handling and reduced manual filing and email based processes, improving administrative efficiency and accessibility for staff and students.
