In 2020, CRH implemented SAP S/4 HANA to drive a global sales process standardization for its Construction Accessories platform, Leviat. The implementation emphasized order to cash capabilities in SAP S/4 HANA, focusing on sales order management, customer master alignment, billing and invoicing flows and the financial posting interfaces typical of ERP Financial systems. Configuration work centered on a standardized sales template to unify sales transaction handling and to enforce consistent master data and pricing rules across the Leviat business.
SAP S/4 HANA was integrated with SAP C/4 CRM to orchestrate front office to back office processes, enabling quote to order handoffs and synchronized customer records between CRM and ERP. The operational coverage targeted Leviat as a global business unit within CRH, aligning sales and finance process ownership under the Global Process Owner Sales role.
Governance and rollout were structured around the global template, with phased adoption and process controls governed by the Global Process Owner Sales from January 2020 through July 2022. The implementation established a single SAP S/4 HANA application instance for sales and related financial posting workflows, clarifying enterprise ownership for order to cash and sales process governance.
