In 2021, CSC India implemented Oracle Cloud ERP. The deployment targeted core ERP Financial capabilities under the ERP Financial category and represented a structured transition from Oracle E-Business Suite to Oracle Cloud ERP.
The implementation emphasized Oracle Cloud Financials modules, specifically General Ledger, Accounts Payables and Sub Ledger Accounting, alongside Oracle Cloud Procurement modules including Requisitions, Purchasing, Sourcing, Supplier Qualification, Supplier Portal and Enterprise Contracts. Configuration work included cloud security and approvals, OTBI reporting configuration, data conversion routines and test automation for acceptance cycles. Oracle Cloud ERP Release 12/13 was referenced as the deployment baseline for configuration and regulatory setup.
Operational coverage extended across DXC locations with an onshore and offshore delivery model and a named single point of contact leading delivery from the client side in the US. Integrations and stabilization activities were driven through coordination with Oracle support, DBAs, technical consultants and other application consultants to manage interfaces between custom systems, ERP and CRM components. The rollout affected finance, procurement, order to cash, inventory, purchasing and pricing functions within CSC India.
Governance and delivery followed formal change management and structured methodologies, specifically AIM and OUM, with prescribed development standards for coding, naming, testing and documentation. Implementation responsibilities included requirements gathering, mapping, configuration, testing, cut over activities, user training and post go live support, plus root cause analysis and ticket escalation with Oracle support. The program also established expectations for production support leadership, mentoring, and enforcement of global technical policies and procedures across the ERP Financial footprint.
