In 2017, C&V Supply implemented SAP Business One as its ERP Financial system, replacing Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise and consolidating core distribution accounting and operations in Nuevo Leon. The deployment positioned SAP Business One to manage financial, production, CRM and MRP business functions across the organization and established ongoing administration responsibilities for the application.
The implementation covered configuration and business process implementation of production, financial, CRM and MRP modules inside SAP Business One, including an upgrade and the creation of a new company record in the system. Administration of ERP SAP B1 was incorporated into operational roles, and business process changes were embedded into the application configuration to support order to cash, inventory planning and financial close workflows.
Reporting and integration work was implemented against a MS SQL reporting layer, using MS SQL views and stored procedures to support financial reports, plus Crystal Reports and Tableau to create and modify formatted outputs. Development and change programs were delivered in MS Visual C# and VB to extend SAP Business One functionality and to automate report extraction and data transformations between the application and BI/reporting tools.
Governance focused on centralized system administration, iterative upgrades and managed report development, with the creation of the new company and report portfolio delivered as part of the rollout.
