In 2017, Danfoss UK implemented SAP S/4 HANA as an ERP Financial platform, initiating a global OneERP roll in executed across nine releases with Capgemini as the systems integrator. The program replaced SAP ERP ECC 6.0 and targeted harmonization of sales order and financial posting processes across UK and Germany as part of a broader global rollout scope.
The implementation concentrated on Sales & Distribution and Quote-to-Cash capabilities within SAP S/4 HANA, including configuration of order-to-cash workflows, design and delivery of SAP Workflow, and development of Order Follow Up tools and custom-made transactions where SAP standard did not meet business needs. Functional deliverables included Fit/Gap outputs, Change Requests, Standard Operating Procedures, Process Exception Documents, test scripts, and end user training material to support the ERP Financial deployment.
Testing and integration governance were centralized using SAP Solution Manager, with the project defining a Test Organizer role for integration and UAT across multiple centrally coordinated teams. Post-go-live defect management and ongoing support were routed through SAP ITSM, and the deployment model required cross-functional coordination between Sales & Distribution teams and finance stakeholders to align transactional posting and operational order management.
Governance and rollout practices emphasized workshop-driven requirement gathering, staged release testing, and structured training and support handoffs. Design authority included specification of custom transactions and implementation of workflow logic, while operational responsibilities covered integration testing, UAT coordination, training of end users, and post-go-live support processes under the OneERP program using SAP S/4 HANA as the ERP Financial backbone.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017, Danfoss UK implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central in the Core HR category to centralize employee master data and standardize HR recordkeeping across the UK manufacturing site. The deployment established SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as the authoritative Core HR system supporting core HR and payroll interfacing for the organization.
The implementation included Employee Central data conversions and master data cleansing, with explicit configuration work to support Point-to-Point EC Payroll replications and Mini Master Replications. The project used SAP’s Business Integration Builder BiB framework for orchestrating data conversion and replication processes, and standard Employee Central functional patterns for employee profile, employment information, and payroll interfacing.
Integration work from January 2020 to December 2021 shifted middleware and interface patterns, migrating integrations from SAP PO using an Advantco adapter to SAP Cloud Integration CPI using the SAP SF Adapter. The SuccessFactors Integration work encompassed converting existing service interfaces into RESTful APIs and integrating those APIs with an API Gateway and the APIGEE platform, while maintaining point-to-point payroll feeds between Employee Central and payroll processing functions.
Governance and delivery were organized around a design and delivery lead model during the SAP Cloud Integration engagements, centralizing middleware ownership and standardizing interface patterns for HR and payroll teams. Operational scope focused on HR and payroll business functions within Danfoss UK, with integration orchestration delegated to SAP Cloud Integration, BiB for replication logic, and an API Gateway layer for external API consumption.

| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft Power BI | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016, Danfoss UK implemented Microsoft Power BI as its Analytics and BI platform to advance enterprise reporting and analytics across an organization of roughly 800 employees. The deployment was organized to support data intelligence and advanced analytics workstreams, with an Analytics Solution Architect guiding digital leads, data engineers, architects, and BI developers on design and future-proofing of data science solutions.
Implementation work centered on building semantic data models, reusable Microsoft Power BI datasets, interactive reports and dashboards, and role level security to enable departmental reporting and self-service analytics. The Analytics Solution Architect designed reference architecture patterns that emphasized modularity and reusability, and specified non-functional requirements including performance, security, quality, stability, and cost for development, testing, and operationalization.
Operational architecture included hybrid deployment patterns for local, cloud and edge environments and integration pathways with SAP and ERP environments and cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS. Streaming and batch dataflows were incorporated to operationalize analytics and close the data-to-insight-to-action loop, and user focused integration scenarios included embedding machine learning outputs into Excel and Microsoft Power BI.
Governance activities established standards, guidelines and best practices for analytics development, capture of requirements in data models, and evaluation and testing of data science solutions, while encouraging a modular approach for reuse across lines of business. The implementation model emphasized stakeholder enablement through reference architecture, prescriptive deployment patterns and guidance to operational teams on running Microsoft Power BI at scale.
