In 2021 DCG deployed DigitalOcean Droplets to host its corporate website, establishing an Application Hosting and Computing Services layer for its public web presence. The deployment uses DigitalOcean Droplets as virtual compute instances to provide the core compute tier for DCG, running the web server and serving site assets for client-facing operations.
Operational implementation leverages standard Droplets capabilities including SSH access for administration, snapshot-based image capture and scheduled backups, and platform firewall controls, with provisioning managed through the DigitalOcean control plane and API to streamline instance lifecycle and configuration. This configuration centralizes web hosting responsibility within DCG's IT function and directly supports marketing and client engagement business functions, with DNS and content delivery orchestration handled at the Droplet and platform level.
