In 2019, Defence Bank deployed ELMO HR Core as its Core HR platform to centralize HRIS and people processes for its approximately 230 employees. ELMO HR Core was adopted as the bank's Pathway HRIS implementation and used to digitize and govern employee lifecycle workflows across the organisation.
The deployment focused on functional modules for performance and onboarding, delivering paperless and role relevant My Performance, My Induction, and My Return to Work plans within ELMO HR Core. The implementation supported the introduction of market based remuneration via FIRG alongside the HRIS, and was positioned to enable wellbeing and learning programs such as Thrive and KnowHow through integrated HR case and plan management.
ELMO HR Core was integrated into Defence Bank's broader employee technology stack, explicitly interfacing with the intranet Connect and Connect Social powered by Elcom, CVCheck, Joan desk bookings, Whova conference tooling, Zoom, and transaction or document tools including DocuSign, Promapp, Business Connect, and PDFCreator. The integration set supported end to end employee experience scenarios from recruitment screening through onboarding, conference engagement, desk booking and electronic document workflows.
Governance and rollout were led from the Head of People Systems role reporting to the Chief People Officer, and aligned to existing people and workplace initiatives such as the New Support Office design, Thrive wellbeing program, Uprise EAP rollout, Speak Up reporting, and Innov8 continuous improvement activities. The programme emphasized paperless HR processes, role based workflows, and centralized HRIS ownership within People Operations in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

| Cloudcase Software Solutions | Legacy | Cloudcase Platform | Intelligent Process Automation | AI-Powered Application | n/a | 2022 | 2022 |
In 2022, Defence Bank partnered with Cloudcase Software Solutions to deploy the Cloudcase Platform as an Intelligent Process Automation solution to digitize personal loan origination for Australian Defence Force members, with the platform later extended to support home lending. The deployment targeted removal of paper based processes in member lending origination and onboarding, delivering a single digital intake and automated workflow for credit application processing.
The implementation centered on loan origination and onboarding capabilities, with automated form capture, workflow orchestration, and decisioning automation consistent with Intelligent Process Automation use cases. Module usage is inferred primarily as loan origination and onboarding, with configuration to support staged approvals and straight through processing where eligibility and verification rules are met.
Integration architecture relied on API based connectivity to the bank core banking systems and to third party vendors for identity, verification, and upstream data feeds, enabling end to end handoffs from member application through funding. Operational coverage focused on retail lending functions, specifically personal and car lending initially, and later expanded to home lending origination workflows for members across Australia.
Governance and process changes accompanied the rollout, shifting frontline and back office workflows from paper processing to digital case management and automated rule execution, and the home lending rollout was implemented as an extension of the initial origination deployment. Rollout sequencing emphasized onboarding of member facing channels and alignment of credit workflow controls to the new automated processes.
Outcomes reported from the Australia rollout include approvals in as little as 30 seconds, funding within minutes for eligible applications, and a reported approximately 25 percent increase in personal and car loan fundings in the first months after launch, while the home lending capability represents an operational extension of the Cloudcase Platform origination layer.
