The SAP Concur Invoice implementation focused on core invoice automation modules including electronic invoice capture, automated data extraction and validation, configurable approval workflows, exception routing, and supplier invoice submission. SAP Concur Invoice was configured to support coding and workflow orchestration that reflect finance operating model requirements, and to reduce manual touchpoints in invoice processing and approval cycles.
The rollout was organized by Deloitte’s Digital and Automation team and the Accounting Operations Advisory practice, with implementation activities embedded in broader finance process work streams. The program was positioned to operate alongside financial close and reporting initiatives referenced by the firm, including tools for financial close optimization and last mile reporting, ensuring invoice processing aligns with period end and reporting controls.
Governance emphasis included finance process mapping, control design, and implementation advisory services delivered by Deloitte advisory teams, combined with targeted workshops and stakeholder facilitation for rollout across Canadian finance teams. SAP Concur Invoice was explicitly applied as an AP Automation platform supporting Deloitte Canada Finance, Accounts Payable, and Accounting Operations Advisory efforts rather than as a narrow point solution.
