SAP Legacy SAP S/4 HANA - Accounts Payables AP Automation ERP Financial Management n/a 2022 2022 In 2022 the Department of Ministerial and Parliamentary Service implemented SAP S/4 HANA - Accounts Payables as an AP Automation solution to centralize accounts payable processing for the department’s finance function supporting approximately 1,000 employees. The implementation targeted end to end AP workflows and financial transaction processing within the department, positioning SAP S/4 HANA - Accounts Payables as the core application for invoice processing, vendor accounting, and payables control. Configuration work included core FI and CO alignments, with explicit focus on accounts payable ledger configuration alongside general ledger, accounts receivable, and asset accounting modules. The project delivered enhancements to enterprise structure and new general ledger mappings, and included configuration for month end and year end processes in AA, CO and the new GL, consistent with SAP FICO functional scope and AP Automation requirements. Architecturally the deployment followed a multi landscape model using Dev QA PRD environments and a formal transport change request process to promote configuration and code changes through successive systems. The implementation integrated Concur finance connectivity and engaged ABAP, Fiori Gateway, security and basis teams for interface and gateway support, while custom highlight reports and PPM integration were coordinated via functional specifications to the ABAP team. Operational governance emphasized structured incident and change management using JIRA and HP SM7 for logging, prioritization and approvals, continuous production support and a monitored SAP support mailbox, and remote end user technical assistance. Testing and quality assurance included organized UAT execution and regression testing, with change control through tested transports and ongoing BAU support for SAP FICO and accounts payable operations.
