Basware states DHL uses these Basware components to standardize AP across 50+ countries and integrate with multiple ERPs, so the technical architecture linked Cloudscan and invoice processing services to ERP endpoints maintained by regional and shared service nodes. Operational scope focused on finance and AP teams within shared service centres, enabling cross-country document routing and ERP posting orchestration.
Governance and process changes concentrated on unified reporting, common approval workflows and supplier onboarding procedures, reinforcing consistent AP controls across sites. The project delivered standardized reporting, improved automation and faster supplier onboarding as noted in Basware customer communications, with implementation and operational ownership retained by DHL finance and shared service centre teams.
