| MYOB | Legacy | MYOB Advanced | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2012 | 2012 |
In 2012, DGR Global implemented MYOB Advanced as its ERP Financial platform across the corporate group. DGR Global is a manufacturing and mining-services group comprising over 70 interlinked entities operating in multiple jurisdictions, with some entities listed on the Australian, London and Toronto stock exchanges.
The MYOB Advanced deployment focused on core financial management and reporting capability, delivering the MYOB Advanced application for general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and group reporting and consolidation workflows consistent with an ERP Financial implementation. The implementation emphasized improved data visibility and easier, more timely reporting so finance teams could step off their "hamster wheel" and begin analysing data, and the program reclaimed over 240 workhours per month as an explicit operational outcome.
Vendor selection and scope reflected usability and cost constraints, DGR rejected Pronto and Microsoft Dynamics because they were not as intuitive to use, and considered Oracle and SAP too expensive with overly complex functionality for a cash sensitive entity. Remaining within the MYOB product family reduced perceived transition risk, a point noted by internal stakeholders who said the move felt like going from MYOB to MYOB, which helped adoption and lowered change friction.
Rollout governance prioritized user adoption, reporting cadence and consolidated financial workflows across the group, with configuration oriented toward usable reporting and timely financial close processes. The narrative centers on MYOB Advanced as the chosen ERP Financial tool to centralize finance function reporting and improve operational visibility for a multi-entity corporate group.
