In 2021 Dunnhumby implemented Oracle Cloud ERP alongside a rollout of the Oracle Fusion Analytics family for ERP and HCM, replacing Microsoft Dynamics AX to centralize financial and HR analytics. The deployment targeted cross-functional business analysis across finance, HR, and sales and established Oracle Cloud ERP as the core ERP Financial platform for commercial finance and people analytics use cases.
The implementation centered on Fusion ERP Analytics and Fusion HCM Analytics, leveraging a unified data model and Oracle managed data pipelines to populate a prebuilt data warehouse and subject areas. Those subject areas include more than 1,000 metrics and provide out of the box analytical schemas and data engineering tools, enabling analysts to build dashboards without modifying the underlying data structure.
Operational coverage focused on commercial finance, finance managers, HR managers, and sales teams, converting a previously Excel based manual process into governed self service analytics. The company built a CFO dashboard showing performance by business unit region and cost center, and a positions report to support hiring plans, demonstrating how Oracle Cloud ERP and Fusion Analytics drive cross departmental reporting and pipeline visibility.
Governance was tightened by adopting Oracle managed pipelines which automatically adapt to changes in Oracle Cloud Applications, improving data governance and reducing internal support overhead. The rollout emphasized self service access for finance and HR users without engaging IT, removal of desktop downloads for data joins, and use of an extensibility framework to integrate external procurement and departmental data where required.
Dunnhumby reported that Fusion Analytics removed the maintenance burden because upgrades and pipeline management are handled by Oracle, and intends to replace existing operational reports with Fusion ERP Analytics and Fusion HCM Analytics due to user preference for the clean interface. The deployment positioned Oracle Cloud ERP and Fusion Analytics to provide consistent, governed ERP Financial and HCM insights across the organization.

In 2015, Dunnhumby implemented Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management as part of a global first Oracle Cloud Release 10 programme that included HCM, ERP, CRM and Business Intelligence for reporting. The engagement delivered Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management into the company HR estate alongside Global HR, Performance Management, Talent Management, Compensation Management, and Employee and Manager Self Service, addressing Absence and Leave Management within core HR and manager self-service workflows.
The implementation work included facilitated workshops to capture As is processes and map To be processes, producing both narrative and visual process documentation. The project team developed test scenarios and scripts, executed functional testing for Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management, and performed configuration remediation in test environments when Fusion HCM was incorrectly configured, with tracked configuration changes held for deployment to production after Go-Live.
Integrations were explicitly implemented to support end-to-end HR and payroll flows, with interfaces to ADP Payroll and Taleo Recruit verified during testing. Operational coverage was global, with the programme team coordinating HCM, ERP and CRM streams and aligning Absence and Leave Management processes to payroll, recruitment and manager approval chains.
Governance and rollout activities focused on business process definition, configuration workbooks, and knowledge transfer. Deliverables included work instructions, training materials and quick reference guides, functional support during testing and post Go-Live, ongoing configuration updates to the Fusion HCM system, and end user training to support adoption of new absence management and self-service workflows.

In 2014, Dunnhumby implemented Oracle Fusion Cloud Fixed Assets as part of a global Enterprise Asset Management deployment. The Oracle Fusion Cloud Fixed Assets implementation was executed alongside Oracle Fusion Financials Release 13, forming the fixed assets component of a broader financial suite rollout.
The implementation covered core financial and asset modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Asset Configuration, Cash Management, Project Billing and Costing, Procurement, Intercompany, and EPBCS planning integration. Oracle Fusion Cloud Fixed Assets was configured for asset master data management, depreciation rules, accounting derivations and integration points to GL and AP, aligning with standard Enterprise Asset Management functional workflows.
Integrations and data migration were explicit components of the program. The project migrated data from Microsoft Dynamics into Fusion Financials Release 13 and integrated with Concur Expenses for expense reconciliation and with EPBCS for planning alignment. Test and collaboration tooling included JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft SharePoint for issue tracking and documentation, while RSAT v2.1 and HP LoadRunner were used for automated regression and performance testing.
The deployment had a global operational scope, executing across 30 countries including Asia Pacific markets Thailand, China, Japan, Korea, Australia, Malaysia, and Hong Kong, and North America and LATAM markets Chile, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, together with the United States, Canada, South Africa, Russia and Germany. Governance emphasized centralized test and release artifacts, cross functional coordination among finance procurement and project teams, and structured data migration processes to preserve accounting and intercompany consistency.
This deployment documents Dunnhumby Oracle Fusion Cloud Fixed Assets Enterprise Asset Management as a finance led implementation supporting asset accounting, procurement related asset acquisition flows, project costing and intercompany accounting across a multi country footprint.
