In 2016, Electroimpact implemented Epicor ERP 10 as an ERP Financial initiative to consolidate core financial management workflows. The deployment targeted a highly customized Epicor 9 site and began with upgrade planning and technical preparation.
Implementation work emphasized Epicor ERP 10 native extensibility, leveraging Business Process Management, Business Activity Query, Dashboards, and UI-based screen customization to replace bespoke code where possible. Epicor ERP 10 Project Specialist resources provided expertise and customization skills to translate existing E9 customizations into BPM and UI-level configurations while preserving functional parity.
A core architectural task was converting the Progress database to SQL Server, a process developed and tested while remaining on Epicor 9 to enable a cleaner cutover to Epicor ERP 10. The technical approach centered on database migration, SQL Server based deployment architecture, and application-layer configuration within Epicor ERP 10 to support financial and operational workflows across Electroimpact’s manufacturing-focused business.
Project governance included a named Epicor ERP 10 Project Specialist role from March 2016 through April 2018, which coordinated conversion scripts, customization decisions, and configuration standards. The program prioritized use of native Epicor ERP 10 tools to reduce custom code and simplify ongoing maintenance, with phased sequencing designed to preserve live operations during the conversion and upgrade.

The implementation included Microsoft Dynamics 365 Human Resources alongside Microsoft Dynamics 365 Performance, configured for goal management, timesheet capture, and training records. Encore Business Solutions guided the cloud rollout and configured integrations between HR modules and payroll systems to ensure payroll data flows and consolidated employee records, while project-linked time capture was instrumented to increase visibility into time and cost allocation on projects.
Governance was centralized around HR data stewardship and employee self-service, with workflow configuration to support open-enrollment and recurring performance cycles. The cloud rollout, executed in the United States, streamlined HR and payroll integration and reduced open-enrollment data entry from weeks to days, while improving visibility into employee performance and project-linked time and costs.
