The implementation involved explicit integrations between Exact Globe and Sumatra, and Empatec also maintained connections to COMPAS for HR, UNIT4 for payroll, and Werkstap, allowing Sumatra to display combined information from multiple source systems within one interface. Operational coverage centered on the finance organization, while combined reporting spanned HR and payroll data, with employee level information shielded according to internal access rules.
Governance and process changes focused on self service access and cadence normalization so that stakeholders no longer depended on delayed or inconsistent spreadsheets, reducing the recurring question of whether reported numbers were accurate. Empatec emphasized that successful deployment required substantive consultancy and a coordinated customer consultant software approach, and reported that the investment returned at least tenfold, alongside the stated outcome that Excel is no longer used for financial reporting.
