In 2015, EnergyUnited implemented Sage Intacct as its ERP Financial application. The deployment centralized core accounting processes for EnergyUnited Propane, LLC and aligned financial recordkeeping across its multi-county service footprint covering 63 North Carolina counties and 11 South Carolina counties.
Sage Intacct was configured to support core general ledger workflows including journal entries, account analysis, bank reconciliations, monthly close routines, cash account management, and fixed asset maintenance. Configuration work focused on transaction mapping, chart of accounts alignment, and month end close automation consistent with ERP Financial functional patterns.
The project included implementation of a web based CARGAS system and managed integration of CARGAS data into Sage Intacct through mapping to ensure billing and transactional fuel data flowed into the accounting ledger. Operational coverage extended to multi state sales and excise reporting, property tax filings, and local business license tracking with Sage Intacct acting as the central accounting repository for those compliance functions.
Day to day governance rested with internal accounting, who managed daily cash sheets, distributed cash, executed reconciliations, and maintained documented work instructions for the accountant role. The implementation formalized responsibility for journal entries, reconciliations, and tax reporting within EnergyUnited accounting processes and captured process documentation to support ongoing operations.

In 2022, EnergyUnited implemented DocuSign eSignature as a Digital Signing solution on its public website. EnergyUnited embedded DocuSign eSignature into customer-facing web forms to capture legally binding digital signatures and to orchestrate signature flows for online account actions. The implementation emphasizes embedded signing sessions initiated from the website front end and uses DocuSign eSignature functionality to manage recipient authentication and signature capture.
Architecturally the deployment relies on API-based integration between the website and DocuSign eSignature to create envelopes, apply standardized templates, and drive envelope routing and status tracking. Operational scope centers on customer-facing document workflows exposed on the corporate site, with governance focused on templated documents, role-based signing permissions, and audit trails for compliance. Configuration work included templating and workflow configuration to align digital signing with member services and customer onboarding processes, and administrative controls were applied to manage access and retention of signed documents.
