In 2012, Eni UK implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to centralize accounting and financial control across the Eni UK Group. SAP ERP ECC 6.0 served as the primary ERP Financial application for designated departments, including support for VIP stakeholders and consolidated statutory reporting.
The implementation encompassed standard ERP Financial functional modules such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, treasury, financial closing orchestration, and master data management. Configuration focused on chart of accounts alignment, fiscal period management, tax and statutory reporting localization, and role based access controls consistent with enterprise accounting controls.
Operational support was organized with UK based SAP ERP Specialists embedded in the ICT team, working in close coordination with ENI HQ Enterprise IT services in Milan to maintain and support critical business applications and infrastructure. The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 instance was operated within Eni UK on premises infrastructure and supported alongside London ICT infrastructure that included VMware virtual server environments and on site NAS devices used by support teams and offshore sites.
Governance and run book practices referenced ITIL aligned support, SLA management, procurement oversight, business continuity and disaster recovery planning, and compliance controls cited by UK ICT leadership including Law 231 and Sarbanes Oxley.
