SAP Legacy SAP S/4 HANA ERP Financial ERP SNP Schneider-Neureither & Partner 2021 2021
In 2021, Evonik North America implemented SAP S/4 HANA as part of the Evonik NexGen ERP Program, aligning the regional footprint with Evonik's global renewal of its core ERP platform. The program followed more than two years of preparation and global, cross-functional project work involving up to 450 employees and an internal test phase with around 1,200 users, enabling a rollout that now provides approximately 15,100 users in 44 countries and 21 languages with a modern ERP system. The SAP S/4 HANA deployment focused on ERP Financial capabilities and the digital support of end-to-end business processes, explicitly covering budget control, raw material planning, production capacity planning, customer order management, purchase order processing, delivery, and logistics orchestration. SAP S/4 HANA was configured to harmonize and automate essential business processes, standardize workflows, and provide integrated transactional and planning capabilities across finance, procurement, production, sales, and logistics functions. SNP Schneider-Neureither & Partner served as the system integrator on the NexGen ERP Program and supported the technical changeover to SAP S/4 HANA. The deployment was executed as a global, centrally coordinated IT program that provisioned a single updated application landscape delivering consistent process control and monitoring across regions and languages, while enabling subsequent digitization efforts through a standardized platform. Governance for the rollout emphasized cross-functional collaboration, phased testing, and executive sponsorship from finance and IT leadership, with public statements from the CFO and CIO underscoring the program priority of standardizing processes and simplifying workflows. The coordinated rollout approach included an extended preparation period, an internal user test phase, and a global cutover that was reported to proceed without major disruption. The company positioned the SAP S/4 HANA implementation as the start of a Digital Business Core that networks applications and business processes, opening technological opportunities for further digitization and integrated process control. ERP Financial is now the foundation for ongoing harmonization, automation, and end-to-end integration of key business functions within the Evonik group.

Workday Legacy Workday Benefits Benefits Administration HCM n/a 2020 2020
In 2020, Evonik North America implemented Workday Benefits in a Benefits Administration deployment supporting HR operations across the Americas region. The Workday Benefits application was configured as part of Evonik North Americas broader Workday HCM footprint to centralize benefits enrollment and eligibility workflows and to support core HR processes for employees in the region. Configuration work focused on Benefits Administration functional workflows such as enrollment processing, eligibility rules, life event handling, benefit plan setup, deduction modeling, and integration points into payroll and compensation processes. The implementation included business process configuration, UAT coordination, system testing, creation of functional and technical specifications, and maintenance of training documentation to sustain ongoing benefits operations. Integrations were managed with internal and external systems explicitly referenced by Evonik, including ADP, Neocase, SAP, Evonik Directory, and SharePoint, to support payroll interfaces, HR case management, identity and directory synchronization, and document storage workflows. Operational coverage emphasized the Americas region, with the HR Systems and Process Analyst role providing day to day systems support, incident ticket processing, change request handling, integration testing, and participation in mergers and acquisitions activities. Governance and process controls included collaboration with Global HR and Function IT teams on system enhancements, data quality checks, audit readiness support for internal and external reviews, and enforcement of data confidentiality and user compliance. The Workday Benefits implementation was sustained through ongoing vendor ticket management, continuous improvement activities, and a regional support model led by the HR Systems and Process Analyst for the Americas.
