In 2016, Expert Italy implemented Mapp Marketing to centralize omnichannel marketing across its more than 400 stores in Italy. The deployment used Mapp Marketing as a Marketing Automation platform to remove internal data silos and enable coordinated store-level campaigns for marketing and CRM teams.
Configuration focused on group and subgroup management to delegate centralized campaign scheduling to local store clusters while retaining corporate control of messaging and timing. The implementation enabled API-driven real-time event emails and automated cross-channel communications, supporting email orchestration, event-triggered workflows, audience segmentation by store subgroup, and in-store activation workflows.
Operational scope covered marketing and CRM functions across Italy and over 400 retail locations, with centralized governance for campaign approval and local execution via subgroup configuration. Rollout aligned governance and workflow changes around centralized scheduling with delegated local execution, and the project delivered improved email open and click rates and boosted automated cross-channel communications and in-store activation as reported.
