Operational coverage targeted enterprise utility functions, bringing maintenance planning, field operations, and asset engineering into a common application context across FirstEnergy's U.S. footprint. The solution was positioned to support routine and condition-driven maintenance processes, and to provide a single source of asset truth for operational decision making. Governance for the ABB Ability Ellipse APM rollout included standardizing maintenance workflows and establishing asset data governance to improve master data quality and work execution consistency. Change activities focused on process alignment between planners and technicians, phased adoption of application modules, and embedding Ellipse as the primary system for asset performance management.
