Flex-N-Gate Technographics, Software Purchases, AI and Digital Transformation Initiatives
Discover the latest software purchases and digital transformation initiatives being undertaken by Flex-N-Gate and its business and technology executives. Each quarter our research team identifies on-prem and cloud applications that are being used by the 21200 Flex-N-Gate employees from the public (Press Releases, Customer References, Testimonials, Case Studies and Success Stories) and proprietary sources.
During our research, we have identified that Flex-N-Gate has purchased the following applications: SAP ERP ECC 6.0 for ERP Financial in 2018, UKG Workforce Central Payroll (ex Kronos Workforce Payroll) for Payroll in 2010, IBM Maximo for Enterprise Asset Management in 2023 and the related IT decision-makers and key stakeholders.
Our database provides customer insight and contextual information on which enterprise applications and software systems Flex-N-Gate is running and its propensity to invest more and deepen its relationship with SAP , UKG , IBM or identify new suppliers as part of their overall Digital and IT transformation projects to stay competitive, fend off threats from disruptive forces, or comply with internal mandates to improve overall enterprise efficiency.
We have been analyzing Flex-N-Gate revenues, which have grown to $8.30 billion in 2024, plus its IT budget and roadmap, cloud software purchases, aggregating massive amounts of data points that form the basis of our forecast assumptions for Flex-N-Gate intention to invest in emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, IoT, Blockchain, Autonomous Database or in cloud-based ERP, HCM, CRM, EPM, Procurement or Treasury applications.

In 2018, Flex-N-Gate implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as an ERP Financial deployment to onboard five acquired Faurecia plants across Spain, France, and Germany. WYNSYS led the SAP migration and rollout projects for those European sites and coordinated the technical delivery required to integrate plant operations into Flex-N-Gate systems.
The implementation encompassed active ECC modules MM, SD, LO, PP, FICO and PM, supplemented by BASIS administration and SAP MII and PI/PO for shop floor integration and middleware orchestration. Key workstreams included a SAP data migration project, ECC configuration, configuration and development for printing labels, checking and loading MII master data, and functional and process integration testing.
Operational coverage focused on plant level procurement, manufacturing, sales order and finance processes, with cutover planning, key user support, go live and post go live support executed at each site. A MII technical consultant was engaged from October 2018 to October 2019 to validate MII master data and support transactional flows during cutover and stabilization.
Following the rollouts WYNSYS and Flex-N-Gate signed a SAP support contract to establish a pooled application management services team providing sustained AMS for SAP ERP ECC 6.0, covering MM, SD, LO, PP, FICO, PM, BASIS, MII and PI/PO. Governance emphasized centralized support workflows with site level escalation to maintain operational continuity across the newly onboarded European plants.

| UKG | Legacy | UKG Workforce Central Payroll (ex Kronos Workforce Payroll) | Payroll | HCM | n/a | 2010 | 2010 |
In 2010, Flex-N-Gate implemented UKG Workforce Central Payroll (ex Kronos Workforce Payroll) to centralize weekly Payroll processing within its manufacturing operations. The deployment used Kronos time capture as the transactional source to generate scheduled payroll batches for weekly pay cycles and to drive exception handling prior to pay calculation.
Configuration emphasized automated payroll batch generation, timecard validation, and an exception workflow that surfaces incomplete payroll requests to supervisors or managers for approval. UKG Workforce Central Payroll (ex Kronos Workforce Payroll) was configured to route these incomplete requests to supervisory queues so payroll administrators could resolve exceptions before finalizing runs, while wage progression remained a manually tracked and processed activity outside the automated payroll rules.
Operational coverage included time collection ingestion, payroll clerks executing weekly payroll runs, and supervisor approval gates for exception remediation. The implementation produced payroll batches ready for downstream disbursement workflows and required local payroll teams to perform manual wage progression updates and reconciliations as part of the end-to-end Payroll process.
Governance centered on documented supervisory approval workflows for exceptions and procedural controls for manual wage progression, creating a clear segregation of duties between timekeeping, supervisory approvals, and payroll administration. The approach prioritized consistent weekly batch processing and exception transparency without automating wage progression changes.

| IBM | Legacy | IBM Maximo | Enterprise Asset Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2023 | 2023 |
In 2023, Flex-N-Gate implemented IBM Maximo for Enterprise Asset Management to centralize maintenance and asset lifecycle functions across its automotive manufacturing operations. The deployment targets plant and maintenance teams and positions IBM Maximo as the core CMMS platform supporting work order management, asset registry, and preventive maintenance for manufacturing business functions.
The implementation includes core IBM Maximo administration tasks such as licensing management, patch and release management for Maximo 7.6 and higher, report creation and generation, and development of dashboards and ad hoc data queries. Functional capabilities emphasized in the role include configuration of work order workflows, preventive maintenance scheduling, user training and documentation, and ongoing performance monitoring and continuous system improvement.
Operational coverage is global support for manufacturing departments with on-site administration roles based in Urbana, IL and Ionia, MI, and responsibilities for new site launches and coordination with launch teams. Maximo integration experience is noted as a plus, and the deployment scope includes cross‑site reporting, meeting facilitation with stakeholders, and serving as the subject matter expert for system testing prior to moving patches and releases into production.
Governance and process changes center on documenting and defining business functions, technical and process specifications, and reporting requirements, while establishing testing and signoff workflows for releases. Day to day operations include user support, hosting training sessions, on call availability for incident response, and driving data quality improvements through monitoring and best practice sharing.
