| BasWare | Legacy | Basware InvoiceReady | AP Automation | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2008 | 2008 |
In 2008, Flinders University implemented Basware InvoiceReady as an AP Automation solution to centralize accounts payable workflows and formalize invoice processing across campus finance teams. Basware InvoiceReady is deployed as an invoice processing system used to administer and manage the workflow of invoices, reimbursements and payment requests, aligning the application to core accounts payable and payment-request business functions.
The implementation focuses on functional modules typical of AP Automation, including invoice capture and validation, coding and cost-center assignment, configurable approval routing and exception handling, and reimbursement and payment request workflow management. Configuration emphasizes role-based coding and approval rules for finance officers and support staff, with workflow orchestration to ensure invoices progress through defined approval chains.
Operational coverage extends to Colleges and portfolio staff, generally finance officers but also other support staff who are required to code and approve invoices and expenditure for payments, reflecting a university-wide AP governance model. Governance and process changes center on assigning coding responsibilities, standardizing approval workflows across sites, and formalizing ownership for invoice exceptions and reimbursement approvals, with Basware InvoiceReady serving as the transactional engine for these processes.

| Workday | Legacy | Workday Absence Management | Absence and Leave Management | HCM | n/a | 2018 | 2019 |
In 2018, Flinders University implemented Workday Absence Management. The Workday Absence Management deployment was part of the university's multi-module Workday HCM rollout executed under the MyWorklife program from July 2019 to December 2020 in Adelaide, Australia.
Workday Absence Management targeted the Absence and Leave Management category and delivered core absence capabilities alongside Timetracking, Recruitment and Performance Management modules, released across multiple iterative releases. Configuration work focused on entitlement rules, absence request and approval workflows, absence balance calculation and operational reporting, aligned to university HR policy and common Workday HCM functional workflows.
The implementation was delivered as an integrated element of the Workday HCM suite to establish a single source of truth for HR data, enabling consolidated absence records and analytic reporting for People and Culture. Operational coverage included the university HR function and subject matter experts from across faculties, with IT and People and Culture staff embedded in the program team to align process and technical configuration.
Program governance was established with a cross functional program team structure, regular status reporting to the Executive Steering Committee and Program Board, and formal schedule, financial, vendor, issue and risk management processes. The stated objective of the work was to digitise HR processes and provide a single source of truth and data analytics for HR data to support the transformation of HR at Flinders University.

| TechnologyOne | Legacy | TechnologyOne Financials Fixed Assets | Enterprise Asset Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2023 | 2023 |
In 2023, Flinders University implemented TechnologyOne Financials Fixed Assets as part of its TechnologyOne Financials core finance system. TechnologyOne Financials Fixed Assets was provisioned to serve the universitys Enterprise Asset Management requirements while operating alongside General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Budgeting modules used by university staff.
The deployment configures the Fixed Assets module to maintain a centralized asset register, record capitalizations, manage asset movements and transfers, and process disposals and retirements. Typical Enterprise Asset Management capabilities such as depreciation scheduling, asset tagging and identification, asset valuation tracking, and lifecycle status management are applied to align accounting treatment with project and purchasing activities. TechnologyOne Financials Fixed Assets is implemented within the same finance application fabric so asset transactions post to the General Ledger and are reflected in budget and reporting views.
Operational coverage extends to finance teams, procurement staff and project administrators who record financial transactions, maintain vendor and debtor records, process invoices and payments, capture project details and run financial reports. Governance and control measures include role based access to financial dashboards, defined capitalization and approval workflows, and periodic reconciliation processes between the Fixed Assets register and General Ledger. The deployment positions TechnologyOne Financials Fixed Assets to support asset accounting, purchasing control, project financial tracking and university financial reporting under the Enterprise Asset Management category.
